Flea attacking your dog can happen anytime although the peak season for them to do so is usually during the summer and fall season. When they get inside your dogâs thick coat you canât virtually see them as they feed on your dogâs blood and lay their eggs on the skin. If you are not going to take action on this then your dog will develop skin allergy and dermatitis. Symptoms of flea allergy dermatitis include severe hair loss, scabs or crust formation on the skin, skin patches that are dark in color, regular upsetting of stomach, and scabs among many others.
Bathing your dog regularly is one way of keeping your dog away from fleas, therefore preventing flea allergy dermatitis in the process. Apart from your dog, you must also include to clean the surroundings. These two are the basic ways of preventing flea allergy dermatitis to happen to your dog.
